The portrait, set on a modern bust, features a mature woman with strongly individualized features, whose countenance is soft and relaxed; the eyes have an elongated shape and the lips are thin and tight.

The hair, parted in the centre, is arranged in flat locks that are drawn back and twisted into a projecting knob.

The portrait can be dated to the late 1st century BC.
