Male bust, cut off at the height of the chest.
The head is slightly turned to right. The face, showing a flabby complexion and a prominent chin, is characterized by wide, slanting eyes, which are marked by furrowed eyebrows, hooked nose and thin, tight lips.
The hair, neatly arranged in locks pointing to the right, closely adheres to the skull.
The portrait, datable between the age of Tiberius and the age of Caludius (37-54 AD), was purchased for the Capitoline Museums from the collection of cardinal Alessandro Albani in 1733
